Hi! I'm Katie, the artist behind the lens. I'm married to my college sweetheart and we have 2 beautiful children together. You'll see them a lot in my work as they are some of my favorite subjects. :) A few fun facts about me: I LOVE peanut butter, art & the PACKERS! GO Pack GO! I will definitely plan sessions around Packer games....

THE 411

Lifestyle Sessions are done in the comfort of your own home or on location. I have some favorite locations around the Milwaukee and Lake Country area.

In Home Sessions: I will be using rooms such as the nursery, master bedroom & living room. All I need is natural light!

On Location Sessions: The best time for sunlight is 1-2 hours before sunset or early morning.

Before the session be sure to fill out the questionnaire and agreement.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Let's have FUN! I know having your picture taken can be nerve racking. Maybe you aren't into it... or your husband... or even your kids! It can be so STRESSFUL to get the whole family ready and expect the kids to show up looking at the camera and smile. I get it! I have 2 kids of my own. Come to the session relaxed and ready to have fun. It can be helpful, but not necessary to offer a few incentives to the kiddos for after the session. From personal experience when we had our family pictures taken.... there was iPad time and popsicles promised for afterwards! ;)

I will guide you on what direction we are going, where to sit/stand, etc. Posing is very loose. I have a handful of ideas, but also pull from inspiration at your session. Of course we will try to get that one picture of everyone looking and smiling at the camera. However, I want to document your lives how they are right now. The chaos of toddlers, energy of kids, snuggles with mom & dad, the year before going off to college, how you look at your partner & everything in-between! I want to tell YOUR story!

AFTER THE SESSION

I hand select the best photos to edit. Turn around time is typically 2 weeks. You will recieve a password protected online gallery, where you can download, save & print on your own.

Expect a sneak peek on social media (Facebook & Instagram) within 2 days of your session!
