Congratulations! Those first few days at home can be a blur. You won’t regret having newborn photos done, but you will regret not having them done! Babies change so much in the first year.

When is the best time for newborn photos?

Within the first 5-14 days. There is some leeway… as my style is lifestyle newborn.

Who’s included?

Immediate family members are included in your newborn session!

How soon should I reach out?

The sooner, the better! Grab your spot on my calendar before it fills up!

Newborn Lifestyle Session in the studio

Congratulations! You want to schedule a newborn session, but are unsure if you want to have it in your home. Katie Bingen Photography offers Newborn Lifestyle Sessions in their all white, modern Waukesha Studio.

Newborn Lifestyle Sessions take place within the 5-14 day window. If it happens to go slightly outside the window, it’s no big deal. The earlier you reach out to schedule with me, the better!

What should you bring to your session in the studio?

I recommend a favorite outfit(s), swaddle(s), headband(s) and a white onesie. One advantage of the studio is you don’t have to clean up your house for your session!

What can I expect during the session?

A relaxed environment. These sessions are led by the baby. If your baby needs to eat, have a diaper change, be soothed, it is no big deal. Have toddlers? If they need a break, we will switch it up and focus on mom and baby. We will go with the flow. I have children of my own, so I get it! :)

Finn | Wisconsin Family Lifestyle Session

Happy New Year! It’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog. I’m excited to share with you sessions from this past fall. First up is Finn! Amina turned one recently! We met at Covered Bridge Park in Cedarburg to capture this milestone. Amina couldn't be sweeter, she loved her birthday cake!

Wyler | Maternity Lifestyle Session

Vanessa is a good friend and also a photographer in Pewaukee. Its fun to get our kids together and location scout. We have daughters close in age and now sons too. This session was back in May in between thunderstorms. So glad we decided to wait in the car for a few minutes for the clouds to clear!

When Allie contacted me to take family pictures with their dog, 10 years old, I was sooooo excited! They want to remember this point in their life with their four legged friend. <3 Sun shining, toddler playing, and the most chill 'puppy' made for a great spring session! First few days as a family of 4! Henley's sweet family invited me into their home to capture their first moments as a family of 4! Big brother Nolan loved taking pictures....but when he was told he was done, he started doing flips on the bed!

Owen's family invited me into their gorgeous home to tell their story as he turns 1! I love capturing these special moments for families. Owen was full of smiles and LOVED trying out his birthday cake. We wrapped up the session with a sink bath and some head shots for dad.
